Whether you have a round, oblong, or egg shaped head, our 5 vastly different crown shapes can accommodate just about anyone! Keep in mind, your forehead depth plays a part in all of this too.

Teardrop Crown
More defined pinch front. Convex crown height is approx. 4 1/3”.
Perfect for:
Larger head sizes in diameter and forehead depth. The most comfortable shape for those egg shaped heads!Shown here: Eastwood Caramel

Classic Crown
Subtle pinch front. Concave crown height is approx. 4" with a modestly shallow depth.
Perfect for:
Small to average forehead depths. Egg shaped heads will likely push out the concave top shape of this style.Shown here: Paul Olive

No pinch front. Telescope crown height is approx. 3 3/4”.
Perfect for:

Chooseing A Material.
Hard Wool
Our hard wool is like a fine wine, getting better with time. Hard wool is stiff and holds shape, which makes for a beautiful silhouette like you see with our Dylan Fedora. This type of wool is a bit less forgiving so if you are in between sizes we recomend sizing up. This fit can also be challenging for oblong head shapes. If that’s you, we recommend trying a soft wool.
Soft Wool
Our soft wool is comfortable and very forgiving, allowing for a bit of stretch if you are in between sizes. This type of wool works great for all head shapes and sizes and will slowly mould to the shape of your head and adapt to it’s environment. Soft wool is a great choice for travelling so take it on all of your adventures!
What About Straw?
Our straw is very forgiving. This woven material is lightweight, breathable, and moves when you do. Our straw is true to size in diameter, for oblong head shapes we recommend to size up.
