Made: Salvaged Barn Wood Hat Rack

Posted on

We use salvaged materials in everything we do -- from textiles, to recycled paper hang tags, to our hand painted and laser engraved signs -- because we completely believe in utilizing only sustainable practices.  Our approach to production and manufacturing definitely takes more time and planning, but we like to think about the future of planet and people and how we are positively impacting it.

We think salvaged barn wood is the perfect material for our hat racks because it's beautifully weathered and one of the strongest materials we've come by.  No it's not cheap and no it's not easy to come by, but it's what makes our displays in Whole Foods Markets (and other retailers on the west coast!) so special.

The Yellow 108 General Store in Long Beach has also been completely hand built out of salvaged barn wood and fencing. All our displays, tables, and wall art come from reclaimed materials sourced from travels up and down California.
